The Brief /

Develop a logo, branding, merchandise, and artwork for the single from ‘wonky’ electronic music duo Gilligan Moss. Their sound, seeped in early ‘90s rave culture, needed a visual identity that captured the joyous, euphoric essence of that era.

 
 

The Solution /

Captured the spontaneity, experience and the ‘live in and for the moment’ attitude of the rave scene by reimagining the iconic ‘Smiley’ badge with a modern twist, creating the ‘Gilli’ badge, a hands-in-the-air symbol celebrating music and joy. This emblem, embodying the euphoric, rainbow spirit of rave culture, guided the brand’s visual identity across logo, merchandise, and digital artwork. Each element was designed to connect with audiences through vibrant colours, bold typography, and ‘portal’ energetic layouts, bringing the duo’s distinctive sound and playful spirit to life.
